The story goes that a French soldier (known as a Zouave) of the 1800s began using paper torn from his gunpowder bag to roll tobacco which resulted in the Braunstein brothers of France creating their rolling paper. Eventually in the late 1800s they worked up a process of interleaving papers in a zig-zag manner and introduced a rolling paper booklet under the name Zig-Zag. The original Zig-Zag came in a white packet with a portrait of "The Zouave", just as you see him on this rolling paper cover today. Zig~Zag whites are a single width, even-burning paper with a natural Arabic gum strip. 70mm size; 32 leaves per packet. These are authentic ORIGINAL package white zig-zags, as rollingpapers.com deals only in authentic zig-zags.
